KEITH COMMENTS:  

Given the price range they are showing here, there is not enough bandwidth to do the exercise in a way that engages the business and drives strategic change.  This means we can provide them with a risk analysis which will be more than sufficient for TFCD.  But they will lose the strategic value of having done the risk analysis themselves and having integrated it into their strategy and operations.  Similarly we can tell them what their targets should be and get those targets approved by SBTi.  But they will not gain the strategic value of having a detailed, evidence-based plan which is operationalized and active.

In summary: they will win points on ESG evaluations, but practically speaking, they will only take a small initial step forward in terms of risk management and business strategy.  It's not necessarily a bad way to start their journey of CO₂ management, but they should be aware of the limitations.

Also note that the quality and scope of the TFCD disclosure and SBTi targets will be limited by the fact that they haven't measured scope 3.  We could measure scope 3 for them, but in order to do this by January, it would have to be a spend based measurement.  The best practice would be to measure scope 3 in a robust way.
